Inventory

Controlling your inventory is vital to the success of your business, and LightSpeed 2 excels in this area with a myriad of tracking and calculation features tuned to the circulation and flow of product. It minimizes the time spent on processing and counting, and cuts a clean path through the jungle of stock management. Stay on top and keep your evenings free by letting LightSpeed control your inventory and automate the busywork.

Labels and Barcodes

LightSpeed 2's Printing Labels feature prints to a range of label sizes for products and customers as part of a rapid data-entry system for sales transactions and inventory counts. Flexibility in codes you can choose for your labels allow for seamless processing at the sales station regardless of what you're selling, and can be printed to a label sheet or spooled on the Dymo LabelWriter.

Serial Numbers

Any serialized products are tracked as they move through the system, from being received on a purchase order to being sold on an invoice, booked in on a Service Repair Order, or transferred to a virtual warehouse - just enter a serial number in Serial Number History and see everywhere it has been in LightSpeed, instantly. If you add a serialized product to an invoice, you can access a list of available serial numbers in your inventory with the click of a button, or simply use your handheld scanner to scan in the product's serial number.

Reorder Points

One of LightSpeed 2's many "smart" features includes Reorder Point, which allows you to set reorder points for your products. When stock diminishes to the level you've set, you will be prompted to place another order using LightSpeed's clear one-click purchasing.

Count Inventory

LightSpeed 2 not only minimizes the pain of an inventory count with the Count Inventory feature, it makes the process almost...fun. Making efficient use of product labels and the barcode scanner will cut your counting time significantly, as LightSpeed keeps track of what's been counted and will aggregate your quantities for you as you scan. Counts will be stored for later review, and can be edited and amended as new products are accounted for.

Virtual Warehouses

When you have products that you want to show as unavailable for sale but are still part of your inventory, use the Virtual Warehouses feature to transfer stock from your sellable inventory to one of ten "stockpiles", ie. Demo equipment, desktop units, repairs. Products can still be tracked, but do not show in available quantities and a true picture of your inventory is simple!

Multi-Store Lookups

Keep tabs on the inventory levels of your other locations with Multi-store Lookups, providing you real-time access to detailed information of the other stores in your company! Integrated into every product's inventory status within LightSpeed for your stock levels, other locations are accessed with a single click for full disclosure.

Live Pricing Rules

LightSpeed 2's Set Selling Prices and Set Product Info give you extraordinary control over batch changes of specific subsets of your products, including tax statuses, alternate pricing levels, and markups based on category or brand. Another of LightSpeed's "smart" features, Live Rules make it easy to set up rules that can be applied automatically to your products if they meet the particular set of criteria you've set, so you don't have to think about it.
